My Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Sociology through the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Personal Biography:
I wanted to go to college, but I didn’t know how I was going to pay for it. At the end of my senior year I applied to a few schools. I received the Gear Up scholarship, which paid $7,000 each year for my undergraduate degree. A few staff from UAF came to Anchorage and I enrolled. I went to Fairbanks for the summer and started school in the fall.
