ACPE's programs promote access to and success in education and career training beyond high school for all Alaskans. Outreach and early awareness initiatives are designed to ensure Alaska's youth, their parents, and their mentors have the necessary tools and resources to prepare for and achieve an education that will increase the quality of life for all Alaskans.

I'm Going to College Program Motivates Young Alaskans

ANCHORAGE – This spring, Alaskan 5th and 6th grade school children will attend their local colleges for a day of age-appropriate classroom and hands-on activities. A partnership between the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE) and UA College Savings Plan, I’m Going To College encourages students to aspire to education and training beyond high school – whether it’s an apprenticeship, a one-year technical program or a 10-year professional degree sequence; by learning that it is important and attainable.
