Program Participation


Alaska Performance Scholarship Program Participation

All postsecondary schools or training providers requesting to administer Alaska Performance Scholarship (APS) funds must be physically located in Alaska and:

  • Have an established institutional authorization or exemption status with the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education.
  • Submit all required documentation for program participation prior to June 30 of the year preceding the year the institution wishes to enroll students receiving APS funds.

Alaska Education Grant Program Participation

All institutions requesting to administer Alaska Education Grant (AEG) funds must be physically located in Alaska and:

  • Have an established institutional authorization or exemption status with the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education.
  • Submit all required documentation for program participation

Loan Program Participation

In order to be eligible to participate in Alaska Education Loan programs, an institution must be operating for at least two years prior to applying for participation. Institutions applying for participation must be accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or, if non-accredited, must have a status with the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE). Flight schools must be certified under 14 C.F.R. Part 141 or Part 142.
