Alaska College & Career Advising Consortium (ACAC)



The Alaska College & Career Advising Consortium (ACAC) program fosters partnerships and collaboration among education stakeholders committed to improving the lives of Alaskans through access to postsecondary education and career training opportunities.


The ACAC program provides training and resources through the following initiatives:

Kids 2 College

ACAC_Training_Mini
  • Free professional development opportunity
  • Provides knowledge, resources, and tools to better support students and adult learners
  • Series of live virtual training sessions
  • Features close to 50 different guest presentations
  • Hosted annually in the fall
  • Brings together partners from educational institutions, state agencies, Alaska Native Corporations and Tribal Organizations, and local non-profits

Master_the_FAFSA_Training_Mini
  • For education and workforce development partners
  • Provides knowledge and deeper understanding of the FAFSA
  • Detailed walk-through the FAFSA process
  • Every Mon & Thu from 2:00 to 3:30pm on Zoom
  • Sessions cover exactly the same material
  • Individuals only need to register and attend one session; however, multiple sessions available to accommodate a variety of schedules

ACAC_Training_Mini
  • For individuals, students, and families
  • Weekly between 3:00 and 6:00pm on Zoom
  • One-on-one FAFSA and FSA ID completion assistance
  • Breakout rooms used if more than one individual participates at the same time to maintain privacy
  • Registration not required
  • Join any time
