The Governor signed the FY2026 budget on June 12, 2025. ACPE is pleased to report funding for the Alaska Performance Scholarship (APS) and Alaska Education Grant (AEG) remains secure for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year.
The Higher Education Investment Fund (HEIF) will be utilized to fund FY2025 supplemental budget expenses. The amount that will be drawn from the HEIF will not be known until later this summer or early fall.
ACPE is monitoring this situation and working with the Governor and Legislature to ensure the HEIF is positioned to provide continued funding for the APS and AEG programs in future years.
