Kids 2 College

Community volunteers, college campuses and career training programs are encouraged to participate as partners in the Kids2Careers Program. Students who complete Kids2Careers Curriculum are invited to participate in Postsecondary & Career Prep Panel Discussions and in-person or virtual campus events. We welcome your partnership and participation.

Attention: ALL Kids2Careers events and activities scheduled in January 2026 are postponed. You and/or your organization will be contacted by ACPE to reschedule.

Campus Partners & Site Coordinators

Please review the Application Guidelines carefully and submit a completed Campus Application.

  • Apply to be a Kids2Careers partner college or training center
  • Host an in-person and/or virtual campus event
  • Consider co-hosting a virtual event with other campuses
  • Recruit volunteers to teach mini-courses for 5th-8th grade students
  • Share campus offerings and highlights with students

Volunteers

Postsecondary & Career Prep Panels are a great opportunity for students to ask questions and learn firsthand about your pathways, experiences, and tips regarding college life, career training options, and how to prepare at different grade levels.

  • Share YOUR educational & career experiences with 5th-12th grade students
  • Take part in a 3-5 person college & career panel
  • Total time commitment is 1 to 1.5 hours
  • Share college, career training, and high school challenges and how you overcame them
  • Talk about your favorite college and career training memories
  • Inspire young Alaskans and answer questions about your pathway to success

Priority applications received by October 1st are more likely to be paired with school partnerships.

Panel events can be virtual, in-person or hybrid. ACPE staff are available to help coordinate events, or you can arrange your own local panels. The templates in the tab below are designed to help you recruit your own panelists, should that be your preference.
