Complete the FAFSA Now!

The FAFSA becomes available on October 1 each year. October is the best time to file the FAFSA if you plan to start a postsecondary program. Don't hesitate to file your FAFSA later in the year even if you missed the best time to file – you may still qualify for some aid.

Remember, you should file the FAFSA as early as possible – some institutions have very early FAFSA deadlines – check with your school's Financial Aid Office to find out. Some programs may have later deadlines. The priority deadline to file the FAFSA for the Alaska Performance Scholarship (APS) and the Alaska Education Grant (AEG) is June 30.

ACPE Is Here to Help!

ACPE Financial Aid Planning Guide outlines the pathway for education partners and students to follow in order to maximize students and families’ understanding and preparedness, leading to successful FAFSA completion. The Guide provides more detail about each ACPE resource as well as contact information/links to participate.

Education Partners

FAFSA Master the Training

ACPE’s Master the FAFSA Training empowers education stakeholders and provides them with the knowledge and deeper understanding of the FAFSA process (for dependent and independent students) so that they have more confidence assisting their students and families independently with successful FAFSA completion. ACPE’s Master the FAFSA Training is available weekly, on every Tuesday, from 2:00 to 3:30pm.

ATTENTION: This is not a series of training sessions. Weekly ACPE’s Master the FAFSA Training sessions are separate sessions that cover exactly the same material. Education stakeholders are encouraged to register for one session for dependent students and/or one session for independent students based on the student population they serve.

Individuals | Students | Families

ACPE offers multiple routes leading to successful FAFSA completion. To sign and submit the FAFSA electronically, both a dependent student and one parent are required to create an account (FSA ID). Check How to Create an Account and Username (FSA ID) for StudentAid.gov.
